It would seem the old “Washington Village” issue just won’t die. Funny that the discussion is currently being led by someone who doesn’t live here… (Disclaimer - I’m not mocking the guy who wrote the post…I actually read his blog all the time, and I’m glad to see that it’s back again after a hiatus.)
Say it with me now… “Pigtown”. “P-I-G-T-O-W-N”. There. That wasn’t so bad, was it?
And God forbid we become “the next Federal Hill” or Canton. Or Hampden. Or wherever. My hope is that we can develop and change the neighborhood without shoving out our law-abiding residents. I like Federal Hill…and Canton…and Hampden. But if I wanted to live in those neighborhoods, I would be there now. I like the unique charm Pigtown has to offer.
