So a friend reminded me last week that I haven’t updated my blog in a long time, and another friend said she hasn’t seen me “in like forever” — so to put your fears to rest, here I am. I’ve been busy with work, life, and studying for the LEED exam…which is going to take “like forever” to study for so I can pass the damned thing. At least it’s an interesting topic.
Other than that, not much is going on, really. I’m a lot less stressed out these days — I like my new job (for the most part) and I’ve been spending a lot of time at home, now that I can actually afford to pay my rent. I’ve also been spending a lot of time wandering around the city taking photos, which has been a lot of fun. If you’re on Facebook, you can see the photos…I just started the third album today with some shots of neon signage that hangs in Cross Street Market. The photos are all very random — just stuff and friends…and places.
A friend came over tonight and I think we’re going to go to Philly one weekend to hang out and check out the city, and I might be flying to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving weekend. Christmas I’ll be in my apartment. Hmpf. At least I’ll have friends over.
For inquiring minds, Simon and I are no longer friends — mostly because he finally got to see me when I’m really freakin’ mad and fed up, and let’s face it — that’s not my best side. (No pun intended, but I did make a bit of an ass of myself, and I feel really bad. Not for what I said, but how I said it.) I miss him already, but what’s done is done, and he knows where to find me if he ever feels like speaking to me again. And yes, I do feel bad about it. Really. I know someone’s out there reading this thinking “Oh she never feels bad about anything.” Well yes I do, I just don’t go shouting it from the roof.
Other than a few snafus here and there, life is good…and I hope yours is too.
